A Vegas overlay will not survive a Reno winter.

Nevada is two states in one: Mojave UV cooks mix and striping, and the Sierra slope still freezes. Send the county, not a statewide template.

Night paving, placeholder for Nevada mill and overlay work

Why this market

Mojave heat and Sierra freeze cannot share a mix.

Las Vegas, Henderson, and Strip-adjacent commercial live in heat. UV oxidizes overlays and markings; night work is how you keep a lot that never empties. Monsoon cells still pond on desert lots that were never graded. Reno, Sparks, and the north are a different state: Sierra freeze-thaw, inversion cold, and warehouse parks that see snow. A Las Vegas mix in Reno is a year-two failure. NDOT-adjacent yards and municipal lots come with heat or freeze notes depending on the county. What fails here is a statewide template, ponding after a monsoon cell, and striping that does not survive a year of sun in the south. If the package is a Vegas distribution lot plus a Reno warehouse, say so on page one. We will not price Washoe like Clark. Incomplete climate tags waste the first addendum cycle.

Headquarters is Charlotte. There is no invented Las Vegas storefront. Commercial and public only — one licensed, insured NEXTPAVE contract, not a vendor marketplace and not two invented metro offices. Crews deliver in-market. We do not publish a Strip or Reno phone we do not answer. Clark heat and Washoe freeze are one contract only when both counties are in the book.

What fails here

Climate and traffic the spec has to name.

A statewide mix note is how a Nevada lot fails in year two. These are the failures the Charlotte desk prices when they are in the package.

Clark County mix in Washoe

Reno freeze pries open a desert section. Tag north vs south on every site.

Striping specified for a cloudy climate

Vegas sun cooks markings. If the lot is tourism retail, the marking system has to survive UV.

Monsoon ponding treated as rare

Desert cells still dump. Grade belongs in the first number in the south.

Where the lots sit

Las Vegas heat. Reno freeze. Same desk, two books.

Las Vegas, Henderson, and Strip-adjacent commercial

Tourism retail, distribution, and lots that never empty. Heat, UV, night work, and monsoon drainage belong in the first number. This is not a Reno spec with the city name swapped. If the lot is 24-hour or Strip-adjacent, a daylight number will not match operations. Existing oxidation and shoved aisles should be in the book, not discovered after award. A 24-hour Strip-adjacent lot needs a night number, not a daylight takeoff.

Reno, Sparks, and the rest of Nevada

Sierra freeze, warehouse parks, and public yards. Attach every site. Northern Nevada is freeze-thaw, not Mojave heat. We return one contract — not a different paver per metro. Inversion cold and snow on warehouse docks belong in the Washoe note. If both climates are in the RFP, tag Clark and Washoe on page one. Snow on a Sparks dock is not a Las Vegas monsoon note with the county swapped.

What to send

A complete Nevada package.

Nevada estimating fails when Clark and Washoe share a mix note.

  • County or north/south tag — Las Vegas heat vs Reno freeze
  • Night and live-ops windows for Strip-adjacent and 24-hour lots
  • Monsoon or snowmelt drainage notes by region
  • NDOT-adjacent or municipal addenda
  • Existing oxidation (south) or freeze joints (north)

Scope

Commercial services we bid in Nevada

We bid mill and overlay, parking lots, patching, striping, and ADA on commercial and public sites. Residential driveways are out of scope.

FAQ

Nevada climates, Charlotte desk.

Do you have a Las Vegas paving office?
No. Headquarters is Charlotte. Nevada commercial work is bid from that desk and delivered in-market. We do not invent Strip storefronts or Reno offices.
Can one mix cover Vegas and Reno?
No. Southern heat and northern freeze are different sections. If both are in the RFP, the spec should say so per site.
Will you bid Clark and Washoe lots in the same package?
Yes. That is the point of a national commercial contractor. Name both climates. One contract, two notes.
Do you pave residential driveways in Nevada?
No. Commercial parking lots, distribution yards, tourism-adjacent retail, campus lots, and public work only.
