NWA wants the dock open; Delta clay wants a different section.

Bentonville-to-Fort Smith logistics lots fail under turn count; east Arkansas lots fail when fat clay pumps. NEXTPAVE bids both from Charlotte as commercial and public work only.

Why this market

Two Arkansas pavements: high-turn docks and Delta clay

Arkansas is not one subgrade. Northwest Arkansas—Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville, and Fort Smith—runs supplier parks and cross-docks that turn trailers all day on residual soils that still move, but the controlling load is axle count and tight courts. East of Little Rock, Delta and Cache River clay under West Memphis, Jonesboro, and agricultural industrial parks behaves like a pump after a wet week. ARDOT-adjacent maintenance yards see both: a thin overlay that survives NWA traffic will still delaminate on the Delta when water sits in the base. Ozark elevations add short freeze events that coastal Delta lots rarely see. Food, retail-supplier, and river-adjacent industrial sites do not share a section. Name the region and the soil before you name the mix, or the bid will miss the failure. Little Rock municipal lots sit between those two soils and still need a region tag.

NEXTPAVE prices Arkansas commercial and public lots from Charlotte. There is no Bentonville or Little Rock office here. One contract can hold an NWA dock chain and a Delta yard so the owner is not running two vendors against two soils. Crews go to the site; the bid desk does not. Residential work is not in the bid.

What fails here

Climate and traffic the spec has to name.

A statewide mix note is how a Arkansas lot fails in year two. These are the failures the Charlotte desk prices when they are in the package.

NWA court rutting

Supplier parks around Bentonville and Springdale rut in the turn lanes long before the stalls look tired. A seal over a rutted court just paints the trough.

Delta clay pumping

West Memphis and Jonesboro pads on fat clay pump fines through a thin base after rice-country rain. The overlay rides until the next wet week, then the wheel paths go again.

Ozark freeze on a Delta spec

A section written for east-Arkansas clay can still split on a Fayetteville or Fort Smith lot after a short freeze. Elevation is part of the bid, not a footnote.

Where the lots sit

Where Arkansas lots actually sit

Northwest Arkansas logistics

Retail-supplier parks, food distribution, and cross-docks from Bentonville through Fort Smith run live receiving that rarely yields a full weekend. Night mill, temporary striping, and one-court-open phasing are the constraint—not a shortage of mix plants. Courts are tight; turning templates matter as much as lift thickness. ARDOT-adjacent yards on the same corridor still need commercial phasing, not a highway closure playbook. Send dock hours with the soils. Badge gates on supplier campuses are a bid item, not a surprise.

Delta and river industrial

West Memphis, Jonesboro, and agricultural industrial parks sit on fat clay with poor drainage and long wet spells. River-adjacent lots add a high water table. Mill-and-overlay without underdrain is a short delay. Municipal and county yards here fail at the edges and inlet rings first. Send boring notes; a copied NWA section will not hold. If the package only lists tonnage, the estimator is guessing the pump. County shops on the same clay fail at the same inlet rings.

What to send

A complete Arkansas package.

A complete Arkansas package says NWA or Delta—and proves it with soils and turn data.

  • Site list tagged NWA logistics vs Delta or river clay
  • Axle-turn notes or dock schedule for Bentonville–Fort Smith courts
  • Boring logs or PI for East Arkansas or Cache River pads
  • ARDOT or city spec if the lot is a public or maintenance yard
  • Night-work and one-court-open rules for live supplier parks

Scope

Commercial services we bid in Arkansas

NWA courts usually need mill-and-overlay in the turn lanes plus restripe; seal is a hold, not a fix. Delta sites need patching and drainage before any surface treatment, then ADA and striping after the lift holds.

FAQ

Arkansas bid questions

Is there a NEXTPAVE office in Bentonville?
No. The bid desk is in Charlotte. We do not operate a Bentonville storefront. Commercial and public Arkansas sites are bid from North Carolina and staffed on mobilization.
Can we use the same section in Springdale and West Memphis?
Not safely. Northwest lots are turn-and-heat problems; Delta lots are clay-and-water problems. Send both soils in the package if you want one contract.
How do you phase a live NWA supplier park?
One court open, night mill where receiving allows, temporary striping until the final lift. We do not assume a weekend shutdown unless you write it.
Do you do residential streets or driveways?
No. Typical Arkansas work is supplier parks, food distribution, municipal yards, ARDOT-adjacent lots, and river-industrial pavement.
